Tampa born. Licensed. 28 years in the trade.
Pure Power is owned by Omer Mahmud, a Tampa native and USF graduate who has spent 28 years in the electrical trade. He started his first electrical company in 2013 and founded Pure Power in 2018.
Most of that career was commercial work: retail stores, tenant build-outs and estimating projects for some of the larger contractors in the region. That background shows up in the small jobs too. Work is planned before it starts, priced before you approve it, and done to code.
Pure Power is a small company on purpose. When you call, you get the licensed contractor, not a dispatcher.

What customers say
“I have been a real estate investor for over 7 years and have worked with numerous contractors. Omer is ONE OF THE BEST (possibly THE best) I have EVER worked with. I wish all the people I worked with were like Omer. Stop reading right now and reach out to him, you won't be disappointed! Work quality, professionalism, responsiveness, value, and punctuality - I give Pure Power & Communications Inc. 5-stars in every category.”
“Omer did an A+++ job. His pricing was very competitive even though he's a Master Electrician (I check with the State of Florida before hiring any professional). I highly recommend him.”
“Just had a fantastic experience with Omar and Pure Power, i've worked with several tradesmen and contractors over the last year and this was a breath of fresh air, great communicator, very professional, reasonable pricing, felt like he legitimately cared rather than wanting to make money and leave. I'll definitely be going to him for all my electrical needs and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician.”
“Omer was incredible. He got back to me right away to schedule my install (he was even able to work in the next day!). He was on time and called before coming out. He is such a nice guy. Very considerate and cleaned up everything when he finished, including the boxes! The price was very reasonable and he competed all the jobs in the one visit. I absolutely will be calling him again for my future installs! Thank you, Omer!!!”
